One of the smaller jobs that needs to be done is to put some sort of coating on the old glass in the monitor vents to prevent it falling out if it gets cracked.  We experimented with pouring special resin on the backs but we ended up with bubbles in the resin so that had to be removed.

We are now very grateful to Allan Fretwell of National Window Films who have offerred to put 'bomb film' on the back surface of the glass that will do the job.   This is being done at no charge and we are very grateful for this.  Yesterday I took the 18 vent windows over to their premises at Castleford.
