Another day of good progress.  Paul and Jim spent the day fixing the D end canopy bend.  This is now fixed after a few alterations to the brackets and has transformed the appearance.  I will try and post a photo next week.   I spent the day fixing the first upper deck plank on C side along with it's associated drip rail underneath.  We discovered last week that we had missed a series of screws that hold this rail in place.  We found a solution using some 3" coach screws screwed in from the rear of the upper cantrail.  These take the horizontal stresses produced when passengers pull on the handrails.  This also looked good and has now been removed ready for wet fixing next week. Ian our chairman joined us this week and spent the day putting another layer of waterproofing gloop on the roof canvas and various other pointing jobs.

Away from the tram more steelwork has been sourced with delivery of 16 steel donuts that will act as seats for the springs.  The wheelset manufacture is still ongoing and the drawings for the patterns for the remaining parts of the axleboxes are nearly ready.

All the information from the upper deck planks has now been fed into the CAD drawings and the picture below shows the result.

This shows the area that the seats will occupy and each small mark shows where something will be attached.  The green lines are the known areas where floor latts were.  Over the coming weeks these will now be extended to complete the plan.  Also we can now start on the design of the seats and the seat frames.
