Hi Readers.  It's now nearly a year since I started this little website and 5 years since we started to restore 107.  Much has happenned in the 5 years and a lot of progress has been made in the last year.  Last years 'Latest News' has been archived and is still available for anyone sufferring from insomnia.  Hopefully I will be able to get all the data in the right place by next week.

Today has been a good day with 4 of us there.  Paul spent the day fixing more ceiling planks and has nearly finished the A side ceiling which looks superb.  Now there are just 8 more boards to put on C side to finish the ceiling.

Jim and Stephen spent the day rubbng down and staining the remaining ceiling boards and all of these are now ready for fitting.

I spent the day making a mock up of a seat on a piece of plywood to check the design. After examing photographs of other Milnes cars and Chesterfield 8 at Crich we had decided that our design was wrong.  After a day mixing and matching bits of seat moulding we have taken the decision to have a new set of seat ribs cut to a different profile so that the seats fit properly and match the Milnes design.

Away from the tram a quote has been received for machining and assembling the wheelsets and hopefully the axles will be delivered soon.  This means we have to get the top garage cleared of other timber in about 8 weeks readyt for delivery of the wheelsets, a good incentive to get the upper deck floorboards fitted quickly.
